Delicious Home Made Baked Bread


In today's time there are just too much preservatives and added MSG's in our food products and with my kids being very sensitive to allergies contracted from the wrong food combinations, I have decided to make (almost) everything with my own ingredients.

Well it works like a bomb! Kids allergies has diminished and hey who isn't smiling when eating freshly baked warm bread!

Today I shall take you through the easy steps on making the most delectable baked bread.

Well I would just be taking you through the process, but beloved hubby as you can see has been the actual 'bread maker'.

So here goes.

Ingredients:

  • 6 cups of cake flour
  • 5ml active yeast(1packet)
  • 2 teaspoons of salt
  • 3 cups of warm water (note: water should not be too hot or cold as it would prevent the dough from rising).

Method

  • Place the 6 cups of flour , yeast and salt into a big mixing bowl.
  • Boil water and mix together 2 cups cold water with 1 cup boiled water in a separate bowl first.
  • Then add water to flour mixture and mix with spoon.
  • Once dough has been mixed start kneading it slightly with hand until a soft texture has formed.
  • Cover bowl with cloth and allow to rise until double in size. (app 2-4 hours)




  • Remove dough from bowl and place onto floured surface.

  • Knead dough until wetness has disappeared.


  • Roll dough out into a long snake that would fit into 2bread baking tins.



  • Grease the baking tins

  • Cut dough in half
  •  
  •  Place rolled out dough into tins




  •  Allow to rise for about 40min-2hours until double in size.
  • Then bake at 180deg for about 45 min.( depending on the type of oven you have, I have a thermal oven so it bakes 40 min) until bread is golden brown on top.
  • And there you have your scrumptious bread!
  • Allow to cool down before cutting.
